The 3rd annual Pitchfork Music and Judgement of Others Festival took place this past weekend in Chicago’s Union Park. The festival featured music, corporate sponsorship, and the requirement to make snide comments about fellow festival attendees under your breath, at a nearly unsustainable pace.  The music got an 8.2, the people watching a 9.4, and the weather could get the ditch as scorching temperatures scored only a 4.3.

Inside the festival grounds, we found a treasure-trove of NBA on NBC era basketball jerseys, so much so, that we were able to field an entire 15 man NBA roster by 7pm on Saturday. Take a look at the gallery  for jerseys spotted at Pitchfork this weekend, and vote below on your favorites. Each jersey comes with high-handed snarky commentary and a 0-10 rating. Sound familiar?

Elliott says:

Sadly, that O'Bannon jersey was stolen from the real Ed O'Bannon, who was at the event, working as a janitor.

Mikey says:

My favorite of the weekend was the Shawn Kemp black with powder blue and orange-striped Cleveland jersey. I thought it was a Chris Mihm jersey at first glance.

No mention of the guy wearing the "45" Jordan Bulls jersey, in the "Starks" picture? You have 2 hated rivals from the 90's having their jersey's ironically worn at a music festival in 2010. That's the winner.

Seitz says:

Mikey, I saw that dude! What's surprising is that I don't think I saw any of the jerseys pictured, and I saw a lot of NBA jerseys. What was crazy was that there were people in hockey jerseys (I saw two on Sunday). It was 90 freaking degrees out there!

You missed the Larry Bird *gold* USA jersey and the Sprewell. Two great choices

Brian says:

Why are you knocking the Rodman? He actually won 5 championships (2 w/ Detroit and 3 w/ the Bulls). Also, why is it surprising to see a Bulls jersey in Chicago? Not random at all.

That guy wore the O'Bannon jersey Saturday and Sunday just to show off.

My biggest find of the weekend was a Derrick Rose Simeon Academy jersey. My friends and I also saw a Hornacek and Van Exel (purple Lakers) around.

Clint says:

The key here is having players from the 80's and 90's. Bravo with the JR Rider shirt as well.

Marv says:

You missed the Portland Bill Walton one I saw there.

In the music clip, why again is that that Captain Crunch gets a violin solo? I'm confused?

Jmogs says:

Derrick Rose. Simeon High School. Best of the weekend.

July 21, 2010, 11:12 pm

Brian says:

I've seen the Derek Rose Simeon jersey at Sox games before. I saw someone w/ a 91 or 92 Bulls caricature championship t-shirt. That is classic.

Kev says:

If only I could still fit into my 1991 Tim Hardaway/Golden State Warriors jersey, I would have UTEP Two-stepped my way to victory.
