The TO Show: Terrell Owens Starts Twitter Revolution for Michael Vick

fist-284x300 The TO Show: Terrell Owens Starts Twitter Revolution for Michael VickDissent is in the air. I can smell it. There are two wars abroad. An economic crisis at home. It’s times like these when the masses must rise up to make things right.

Remember the 1960’s? You couldn’t toss a draft card folded up like a paper airplane and not hit a protester.

And even then, athletes were making their voices heard to effect change. Who can forget (or at least, hasn’t heard about) Tommie Smith and John Carlos’s dramatic “Black Power Salute” at the 1968 Olympics?

So it is no surprise that Terrell Owens wants to make himself heard. TO is sacrificing of himself by organizing a movement to get Michael Vick back on the field as soon as possible via Twitter.  Earlier tonight he tweeted:

terrellowens81Who’s w/me on the Vick situation? All n favor, lemme get a tweet 2 support Mike Vick! He did the time 4 the crime! Let the guy play!!

Very moving stuff. A little bit later he followed up with:

terrellowens81RT: B sure 2 check out #TheTOShow 2morr @ 10p on VH1.

Now that is how you change the world!

In the future, our grandchildren will only be able to process thoughts with 140 characters or less.

I didnt plan on watching this show, or ever agreeing with TO, but I'll admit, I'm hooked and I actually agree with the guy. I dont think its smart for TO to get in the middle of it, but its gotta be nice for Vick to know that there are some on his side.

It's not that I disagree with him so much as his own inflated sense of self-importance is always so amusing.

Juan Salinas says:

As much as it pains me to say it, I agree with TO. I think the jail time is enough punishment for Vick. Any suspension by the league is just cosmetic, for public consumption. What more of a lesson is left for him to learn? Is hanging out at his home for a few weeks going to be so punishing as to lead him to an epiphany that the time in federal prison was just too easy on him to do? Either ban him for life if the NFL wants to have nothing to do with him or no suspension if Goodell feels Vick is entitled to play.
