Someone should get the memo out through the celebrity grapevine that wearing glasses do NOT make you look smarter.
Personally, I’m not a big fan of eyeglasses in general. It probably stems from the fact that I’ve always been blind as a bat, and during my entire childhood, I was forced to wear these horribly cheap, brown plastic frames, as they were the cheapest my mommy could find. As soon as I had the wherewithal, I got myself a pair of contacts and never looked back. Of course, I occasionally crack out the specs when I run out of my contacts, but I try to always have spare contact money lying around for a rainy day.
Whenever I see muldoons like Lindsay Lohan or Britney Spears donning a pair of frames, I always find it irritating. These twits probably feel it gives them an air of sophistication, or erudition, when in point of fact it just makes them look doofy.

I completely agree with you! It doesn't matter if the glasses are nice or not but seeing a person who wears them we notice that he is not healthy. We may not notice consciously but we'd prefer the person wore sunglasses instead.
